new shoes.

As Leo Johnson said on the 1990 season of Twin Peaks repeated over and over again, “New Shoes.” Check out my faves from Paris Fashion Week 2009. I could see a lot of my ‘Rilla ‘Ressionistas rockin’ these shoes.  And as I’ve said before, “You’re whole outfit can cost less than $5 dollars…minus the shoes.”  I believe you should always save where you can in order to spend on an insane pair of shoes.  Shoes make a woman feel like a woman and they also make or break an entire outfit. It’s true.  Miss Christine<3, would you agree with this statement as you were one of the firsts to coin the term “Trashion.”  PS: Check out all the bootsssss!

I’m slipping in a New York Fashion Week photo from the Rodarte show simply because these boots are insane and deserve to be looked at.  One question–how do you get those things on?

The time has come! One of my favorite NYC stores has launched its e-commerce site.  Now you can buy all of this:

…and so much more! Check out some of my favorite collections from Alexander Wang and Tsumori Chisato.  I also love Alexander Wang’s new collection, T by Alexander Wang. Be sure to also check out the collaboration pieces with Pendleton, Nike and some innovative notebooks and wallets  from Postalco.  Look for yourself! Go to openingceremony.us and/or click here if you want to join their email list for sales, and you know site updates and whatnot. Arghhhh another online store for me to get easily distracted on.

Christian Siriano X Payless

picture-2

So Christian Siriano was on Project Runway.  He had his 15 minutes..and a little bit more.  Turns out he gets to make a shoeline…for Payless. Okay okay, yeah they look pretty cool.  But take ‘em off the runway and throw ‘em in a box in the bottom row at the gross Payless in your local townsquare mall.  Tell me if you buy those knock-offs for $45 and they last more than 5 nights. No really, I want to know how they feel.  I also want to know how the weight distribution is.  I’m down with the five dollar K-Mart slip on sneaks that I buy stock in over the summer.  However, trusting my feet to a pair of 4-inch-heels from Payless is a whole ‘nother situation.  I barely made it through my 6th grade graduation wearing a pair of white, peep-toe, 1-inch-kitten-heeled sandals from Payless. I made an oath to myself (and my feet)  that I would never put myself through that ever again. Bandaids, blisters, bleeding…just way too much b-words. If there is one thing that I will save my pennies for, it’s shoes. You could wear a a whole outfit worth $10 dollars, as long as your shoes are clean (and uhhmazing)…you’ll look perfect. Beautiful shoes are key. These? I’m not so sure.
